(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- This Halloween season, the Lakewood Loves Animals Club (LLA) of LRHS has been busy organizing events to raise money for Manatee County shelters in need of financial assistance.

On Oct. 12, Bishop Animal Shelter welcomed LLA to tour the facility and gain a better understanding of how they can serve the needs of the community.

Bishop is currently accepting donations of dry dog and cat food to provide for pet-owners that can’t afford the necessities.

During the shelter visit, LLA will donate the proceeds of their trick or treat drive, ending Oct. 31. LLA Board members created ads and uploaded them on social media to get the word out.

Mustangs can drop off dog toys and bags of dry dog/cat food in room 579 before and after school.
