(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – At the Oct. 17 LRHS junior varsity football game, the LRHS JV cheerleading squad was joined by kids who attended the LRHS cheerleading summer mini-camp.

During the game, the mini-camp attendees performed cheers they had learned at the camp. LRHS JV cheer captain and sophomore Morgan Jendro said, “the girls did a great job remembering the cheers and caught on to the ones they didn’t know.”

Some of the girls performed stunts with the squad. They completed easy stunts such as preps (arms not fully extended) and extensions (arms fully extended). Coach of the LRHS JV squad Sherri Haber said, “all of the mini-cheerleaders’ faces lit up with pride while stunting.”

Haber said, “I think the girls did very well making sure the younger girls were involved.”

The LRHS JV cheer squad had fun helping and cheering with the younger girls and are looking forward to doing it again next season.
