(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This past Friday was a great night for LRHS seniors. Members of the class of 2020 from football, cheerleading, dance, band, golf, and cross country teams walked the field with their families to be recognized in the annual Fall “Senior Night.”

The Mustangs won a hard-fought 13-6 victory over Dixie Hollins High. The scores in the game came from a Cameron Madison, sophomore, to Michael Cucci, senior, connection early in the third quarter, and a fake punt which Cucci took roughly 60 yards for a score.

The visiting Dixie Hollins Rebels entered the game with a 6-1 record, the Mustangs at 4-2. Throughout the duration of the game on and off rain challenged both teams. That made throwing the ball difficult.

Mustangs head coach Rashad West said, “It was a great win on senior night.  Now we hope to finish up the season strong and enter next season on a high note.”

The Mustangs will travel to Sarasota this Friday to finish the regular season.
