Marching Mustangs excel at first competition

The 2019 Marching Mustangs are in their competiton season.

Isabella Heupel – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Over the weekend the Marching Mustangs had their very first competition of the season. The competition took place at Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel.

The band competed in the class 4A category winning best color guard, best percussion, best music and best overall visual. The band was first runner up in the overall.

Color guard captain senior Marina Mainella said, “This competition went incredibly well for our first one. We have grown and improved so much, and I can’t wait to see how much more we will grow together as a team.”

The bands next events will be senior night this upcoming Friday and the annual Music in Motion event this Saturday. The band will perform as an exhibition following all other performances throughout the day.
