Battalion Assistant S-3 (AS3) junior Elise West said, “I’m not sure how we’ll do because we’ve had a lot of difficulties with key players being injured, but we’ll push through and give our all as we always do.”

Executive Officer (XO) for Bravo Company junior Garrett Andrews said, “I think we’re going to struggle on the 5k run and communication, but the rope bridge is one of our strongest events and I know we’ll do good there.”

Battalion Commander (BC) senior Ethan Nicholls said, “If both teams push themselves, we’ll do very well. It’s a matter of effort, determination, and motivation among the teams. Each team has the potential to win. They just need to prove it to themselves and everyone else.”

Battalion Operations Sergeant Major (OPS SGM) junior Jace Grayson said, “The boys have been working hard and we’ve become a much closer team. If we go out there and put everything we have into the competition on Saturday, we’ll be happy with the outcome. We’ve been practicing for so long, and I think it’s going to pay off.”

Lt. Col Roller, Senior Army Instructor (SAI) for LRHS JROTC Program, said, “The boys have been struggling with gelling together as a team, and recognizing that they are a team.  For the girls, we’ve been playing with injuries and we have a very limited number of girls, so every injury can potentially cost us a team. Really, we won’t know what’s going to happen until they compete on Saturday.”

This is the last meet before the team competes in the District Raider meet on Saturday Oct. 26 at LRHS, which serves as the State qualifying meet.
