Lucas Scott – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Around LRHS, clubs spread their messages, and identify their members with their signature T-Shirts.
Many Mustangs around campus can often be seen wearing their club T-shirts. Many groups are considering designs as organizations settle into the new year.
LRHS’s Key Club, an international volunteer organization, had members vote on their T-shirt design on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Key Club’s president senior Lindsey Hyer said, “At our events, the T-shirts allows us to recognize our club members who are there to volunteer.”
LRHS’s Game Club, a social club for board game fanatics, voted in their T-shirts on Sept. 13. Members hope a t-shirt will help increase the clubs recognizability around campus.
Game Club’s president sophomore Jamie Holt said, “Last year we didn’t have club T-shirts and we therefore didn’t have a way of showing off Game Club.”
Game Club’s sponsor, fine arts teacher Daniel Schafer said, “The T-shirts give another way for students to identify as part of our group and feel like a true member of something.”
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a club dedicated to preparing students for business careers, has also chosen to get a new T-shirt design this year.
LRHS’s FBLA plans to use their T-shirts to promote their member’s individuality.
FBLA’s sponsor and leader business teacher Roberta Colson said, “The T-shirts show our school’s spirit and they help to show unity amongst both their members, as well as the school in its entirety.”
