MUSTANGS REACT ICON 2(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This week “Mustangs Ahead” asked students “What are you dressing up as for spirit week?”

LRHS staff and students dress up every year for homecoming week to show school spirit. This year the themes are –

  • Monday- Decade Day
  • Tuesday- College Game Day
  • Wednesday- Wacky Wednesday
  • Thursday- Color Day
  • Friday- LRHS Spirit Day

Senior Taylor Estella said, “For decades day, I’m wearing high waisted bell bottom jeans with platform shoes. I’m also wearing a tie dye shirt.”

Senior Marissa Baldino said, “I’m looking forward to wacky Wednesday.  I’m planning on wearing my long clown socks.”

Senior Mark Aldridge stated, “For color day I will be dressing up in a yellow tutu with yellow leggings, a yellow cat tail, and a yellow crown. There is no theme I just want to go all out for my senior year with the boys.”

Senior William Reed said, “I am looking into purchasing a banana costume, yellow leggings, and yellow face paint.”

Senior Gavin Goeden  said he’s going “all out.”  “For spirit day, I’m wearing my football jersey with a green hoodie underneath it. I’m also wearing a green bandana with face paint.  Getting dressed up at school should get everyone excited for the homecoming football game that night.”

Homecoming week is Sept. 30 – Oct. 4.
