Brooke Mantone – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This fall colleges will be visiting LRHS to inform students about attending options after graduation. Students can meet directly with college representatives and find out important information on admissions requirements, tuition costs, application deadlines and much more.
The sessions usually last 1 – 2 hours.
Visiting colleges range from ivy leagues to in-state schools. Many students interested in a post high school education find these to be helpful.
Senior Zian Mahfuz said, “I’m excited for FSU to come to the school. I’m applying there, and I’d like to know more about the college.”
Another way to find more information about colleges is at the College Fair at Manatee Technical College (MTC) at 6 p.m. on Sept. 25.
Colleges from all around the US will attend. Several students and their families go to meet these representatives in person.
Many schools offer webinars and host larger open houses a few times each year for Mustangs who cannot attend a visit or the fair.
University of Central Florida (UCF) will host open houses on Oct. 26. Students must register online in advanced to reserve a spot. Students can schedule private tours or information sessions.
Admissions offices are also willing to talk to potential students on the phone and reference online resources for those who can’t personally attend events or a tour.
