(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Last Saturday, National Honor Society (NHS) volunteered at the first Miracle League game of the year.
At Miracle League volunteers are buddied up with special needs adults and children in the Sarasota and Manatee area to assist them play baseball.
“The adults and children we are buddied up with always have so much fun and knowing that by volunteering at Miracle League I am making it possible for them to have this joy is what drives me to donate my time every other week,” said senior Anna Stock.
Miracle League takes place from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. every other Saturday at Longwood Park off University Parkway.
Not just NHS members are able to participate, anyone can volunteer by going to Miracle League of Manasota’s website.
