New LRHS English teacher Stephanie Kobetitsch enjoys the move up from middle school.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- New LRHS English teacher Stephanie Kobestitch started her LRHS teaching career this year. Kobestitch originally taught in New York for 15 years before moving to Florida in 2015 and working at Haile Middle School.

Although excited, Kobestitch was anxious to leave her middle school students.

“I was nervous to work with older students, but freshmen do remind me of middle schoolers at times,” Kobestitch said.

The reason Kobestitch enjoys teaching language arts is because she enjoys instilling the love she has for books in other students.

“There are so many wonderful authors and reading novels with my students is so much fun,” Kobestitch explained.

Her preferable teaching style includes using technology, projects, partner work, note taking and independent learning activities.

“It’s been a great start here at Lakewood Ranch,” Kobestitch said. “I’m looking forward to meeting new teachers and building relationships with my students this year.”
