Mustangs must plan ahead for homecoming guests

HOMECOMING PROTOTYPE 2019(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Any Mustang who wants to bring a guest from another school to homecoming, they will have to fill out a guest form.

The green permission form can be picked up in the discipline office and must be returned to discipline secretary Sara Klene in the discipline office by 3:00 p.m., Oct. 1.

The rules for bringing a guest from outside of the school to homecoming are as follows –

  • Guests are not permitted to attend unless approved by LRHS administration
  • Tickets for guests must be sold in advance, and
  • Anyone not following these rules will be denied entry with no refund of purchase, and
  • Middle school students are not allowed, as well as guests over the age of 20.

Student guests will need to have their school sign the permission slip to certify that this student is enrolled at their school, and they will need to give their driver’s license number.

Junior Alexa Bland knows how important it is to submit the form.

“I tried to bring a friend with me last year to homecoming, but I was late to bringing in the form, so they didn’t let me bring my friend. This year I will be sure to turn it in on time because I don’t want to make that mistake again,” said Bland.

Junior Nolan Carpenter emphasizes that getting this sheet turned into discipline is vital, “If you intend on bringing a guest to homecoming, it is necessary to bring the guest sheet back on time. The guest sheet allows us to know who the guest is and, and if they are approved or not. It makes the overall homecoming experience safer for all students attending it.”

If there are any questions, Mustangs can ask LRHS assistant principal Michael Staker.
