Academics(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS students are getting ready for the Pre-Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) scheduled for Oct. 16.

The PSAT will be taken by all sophomores, unless they fill out the Opt-Out Form.

Freshman, juniors and  Florirda Virtual School (FLVS) students are welcome to take the test if they sign up, but there are only 100 spots available.  From now to Sept. 18 anyone can sign-up for $25.00.

“I think taking the PSAT is a great idea, it is very helpful preparation. Taking the test showed me what to expect for the SATs, so I can prepare and get a good score.” said junior Meghan Llamas.

Juniors who want to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship must take the PSAT.

All letters, forms, and study guides for the test can be found in room 611 or at the school’s website, under “Quick links”, click on LRHS Fundraisers, and find the PSAT Tab.

Anyone with questions regarding the PSAT can contact LRHS Testing Coordinator Jeff Simmons.
