(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is ramping up for what they hope will be another great year at LRHS.

FCCLA is an organization that helps young people become contributing members of society and their community. The club prepares students for their careers while also keeping family in the forefront.

FCCLA is also very involved with the community because volunteering is an important value to the club and its members.

According to Florida FCCLA state president and LRHS senior Morgan Kirchman, a new state community service project is on the way along with several new school activities for the year.

FCCLA club officials expect 30-40 members to join this year. Meetings are held every second and fourth of the month.
