Mackenzie Hopkins – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Monday, Aug. 26 Lakewood’s Technology Student Association (TSA) held its first meeting for the 2019-2020 school year.
TSA is a competitive, student run organization that competes in various events at the regional, state, and national levels.
At the meeting, the club’s officers gave a presentation that explained to new and old members what to expect in the upcoming year. The officers discussed meeting dates, various competitive events, and how to become an official member.
TSA president senior Olivia Miller stated, “People often shy away from TSA because they think everything we do is technology based, but there are numerous events that require different skill sets such as public speaking. We encourage anyone who’s interested in being a part of a competitive team to join, even if they have no background in technology.”
Miller explained that those who may be interested in joining are welcome to attend next Wednesday’s meeting at 2:30 pm.
