(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Mustangs welcome new environment science teacher Marisa Naciuk to LRHS.

“The main reason I chose to be a teacher was that I had a science teacher that inspired me to choose that path,” Naciuk said. “I also love talking to people and teaching people about science.”

Marissa Naciuk has loved science since her school days.

Previously, Naciuk taught at Mosley High School, in Lynn Haven, Florida.

She went to school at Columbus State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science degrees.

“I am interested in understanding how human activity has impacted local and regional communities. The focus of my graduate work was on how plant genes are altered in response to environmental change,” shared Naciuk.

Naciuk is honored to join the LRHS staff and is excited for what the future holds for her students.

“I always enjoy seeing my students walk the stage on graduation day. It is rewarding to see that their hard work has paid off,” said Naciuk. “They are one step closer to achieving what they aspire to do in life.”
