(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- This year’s LRHS Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapter kicked off 2019 by partnering with TextLess LiveMore for an ice cream social. The ice cream social took place after school Tuesday in room 542.

TextLess LiveMore is a campaign that focuses on putting down the phone more often and living in the now.

Students who attended the event were asked to put their phone on “airplane” mode and socialize. They also received a sticker and bracelet for signing a card saying they’ll be more present in life from now on and not drive distracted.

SADD president senior Tayla Rosenthal said, “I am so glad that my friends and peers were able to come and enjoy ice cream while learning the importance of living in the moment and staying off of phones when driving.”
