Gracie Coyne and Maddie Forman – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This week, Mustangs from all grades were asked “What are you looking forward to the most this school year?”
Freshman Makenzie Puelston said, “I am looking forward to the volleyball season. This is my first year at Lakewood Ranch and I am excited to meet new people and bond with my team. I will go by the motto of work hard play hard.”
Sophomore Noah Cummings stated, “I am going to strive to have the highest GPA for the sophomore class and work as hard as I can.” Cummings also said, “Basketball is something I have always been passionate about and I am going to give it my all on and off the court.”
LRHS provides opportunities for all students to participate in the activities throughout the school year.
Junior Elizabeth Rutland said, “I am super excited for the week of homecoming! The last two years I have dressed up every day for spirit week. I am looking forward to the football game at the end of the week and the dance because it will be my last homecoming dance with my senior classmates.”
Senior Gavin Goeden has given the LRHS underclassmen advice for their next few years of high school.
“When I first started high school, I never imagined I would be where I am now. I have made so many amazing friends and memories ever since I joined the LRHS football team. If you are doubting joining one of the extracurricular activities that the school provides, I suggest you go for it. I cannot wait to finish off this year with my friends,” shared Goeden.
Senior Briana Pierson has made many great memories at the ranch. “Throughout my years I have learned so much from my peers. I am so happy I joined the cheer team because I made so many friends. I am looking forward to senior night, competition season, and cheering at the football games,” Pierson said.
