The LRHS volleyball team is off to a solid start.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS varsity volleyball team took home another win Thursday night, evening their record with two wins and two losses.

The girls played an exciting game, winning 3-1 against Bradenton Christian Academy.

Middle Junior Julia Kuehn said, “The crowd last night was so much fun to play in front of! They really helped us in sets 3 and 4 with their energy and by cheering us on.”

Both the freshman and junior varsity (JV) teams played won their games as well.

Sophomore Sophia Vlasak said, “Heading into the tournament this weekend, the win against BCS helped boost our confidence. In practice after the loss to RHS we worked a lot on staying aggressive and we did just that against BCS.”

Freshman and JV will both be playing high schools from around the area in a tournament this Saturday, Aug 24. at LRHS.

Freshman, JV, and varsity teams will continue their regular season next week with a home game against Venice on Tuesday, Aug. 27..
