(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Aug. 24 marks the Marching Mustangs’ annual parent show. The band has been working hard all summer to prepare for this event.

“The practices were long and tiring but the preparation will be worth it once competition season starts.” said sophomore saxophone player Brooke Mitchel.

The parent show gives the band a chance to show friends and family what they have been working on for the past two months.

Many parents won’t get the chance to see the show during football season because of their volunteer efforts for the band as Ranch Hands are the volunteers who help the band run smoothly. They haul instruments, equipment and props on and off the field.

This show gives Marching Mustangs parents a great opportunity to see the show from a front hand view.

The event will be located near the cafeteria courtyard. Lakewood Ranch Band Booster’s Association (LRBBA) parents will provide hotdogs and hamburgers at 7 p.m. The band’s performance will begin at 8 p.m. in the practice parking lot.
