Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Tuesday, LRHS girls lacrosse head coach Samantha Stoltz held the team’s first meeting of the school year. During the meeting she covered all the information for the upcoming season.

Conditioning will start Sept. 24 and continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45 – 4 p.m. Conditioning will include 15 minutes of stretching led by team captain senior Alyssa Bradford. The remaining time will be focused on either endurance or speed/agility training.

“It’s always rough in the beginning but it’s always great to see the growth everyone makes from our first conditioning day to our last.” said Bradford.

To attend conditioning, everyone must complete and submit the athletic consent, athletic insurance and athletic physical forms. These are available on the school’s website under the “Athletics” tab.

Stoltz said that it’s important to come to conditioning so players can bond with each other, and so she can see their running abilities.

Coaches this year will include head coach Stoltz and assistant coach Kelly Smith-Williams. There will also be two new coaches, former senior players Tess Hill and Fernanda Flores.

Tryouts for the team will be held in the last week of January.
