ffa logo(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – During summer vacation, the LRHS FFA program made much needed improvements around the campus. They hung spirited banners, inspirational signs, and planted flowering plants.

FFA officer, sophomore Brooke Oneil said, “The officers and some members of FFA spent a day before school started planting trees and plants around the courtyard, adding to the ‘new ranch’ look.”

They worked hard throughout the heat to meet one of Principal Dustin Dahlquist’s new priorities, campus beautification. Not only did they clean up around the campus, the chapter cleaned up the school’s agricultural barn.

FFA’s work does not stop during the summer. Throughout the year they will participate in competitions,  meetings and workshops. Their first workshop featured new LRHS FFA adviser Mackenzie Farah.

“We did a lot of work over the summer and figured out some new amazing things we are going to do this year,” shared FFA officer sophomore Taylor Zwart.
