NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – New LRHS student orientation will take place at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 7 in the school auditorium. Incoming Mustangs and their families are encouraged to attend to learn more about LRHS.

Both sessions will consist of the same information, so it is only necessary to attend one. Schedules will not be distributed at this time.

LRHS assistant principal Jeannie Galindo urges new students to attend, “Orientation gives freshmen a head start. On the first day of school, you know where you are and how to get to where you need to be.”

The orientation will cover information about the first day of school, as well as expectations and requirements for the school year. New Mustangs will also be encouraged to explore the many ways they could get involved on campus through clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities.

Assistant principal Valencia Lowen explains orientation is more than just a chance to visit the LRHS campus.

“Orientation is a wonderful opportunity for all our parents and new students to see not only the campus, but to hear from our administrators and staff.  It gives us the opportunity to present our school’s priorities and culture from the time they first arrive, so they are ready for a successful high school experience.”

The first day of school will be Aug. 12. For first day information, homerooms, and more visit the LRHS website.
