Academics(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As the school year wraps up, LRHS teachers begin to assign summer assignments for next year’s classes.

AP Language teacher Debra McCarthy explains “The summer assignments every year are not only a requirement, but beneficial to students as it helps get a jumpstart on next year’s material.”

Many teachers are still developing summer assignments and they will be available on the LRHS homepage as they are released..

All Mustangs must check for summer assignments, but they are especially crucial in honors, Dual Enrolled and Advanced Placement (AP) courses such as AP World History, AP Language and AP Human Geography.

English teacher Michael Wood adds on “It is crucial for students to make a timeline, in order to stay on track and avoid procrastination.”
