(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Last month LRHS junior Hayes DuJardin performed his own concert with fellow juniors Julian Hurt, Nathan Klasse, James Murtatore, and Jackson Newman.

They performed at Studio 32 in Sarasota before around 100 people. The boys each preformed most of their songs in 26-minute sets.

DuJardin described the experience, “It was like jumping into a pool, you know it is going to be cold at first, but then you get used to it.”

In the beginning of the show he said he was feeling a little nervous to perform in front of a group, but once he started, he was ready to perform the rest of his songs.

The boys played a variety of songs that ranged from rap to heavy metal.

Junior Rachel Lamoureaux attended the concert.

“It was very upbeat,” she said. “You could see that everyone was having a good time and enjoying the music.”

In addition to being a fan who enjoyed the concert, Lamoureaux made an appearance on stage to perform the song “Picture This” that she made with DuJardin.

It was her first time performing and she said, “I was nervous at first, but it turned into excitement once I saw that everyone was having a good time.”

All the participants said they enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to perform again.
