Parent Association ready for Teacher Appreciation Week

NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – In the first week of May, the LRHS Parent Association (PA) plans to treat the teachers and staff during the annual Teacher Appreciation Week.

National Teacher Appreciation Week goes from May 6-10. The PA likes to make this a memorable week for teachers and staff at LRHS.  This week the PA is providing lunches for teachers.

PA member Liz Fisichella described what they want to accomplish for the teachers.

“We plan on decorating the teacher’s lounge with different themes each day and serving them special lunches according to the themes. We also make gift baskets and raffle them out during the lunches,” she said.

The PA is asking for support from local businesses and Mustang parents.

“We need support from businesses and parents to make the raffles better than last year. Teachers really enjoy the raffles and love getting gift cards and certificates to eat at local restaurants. Lakewood parents can help contribute to this cause by giving money or donating gift cards. This can be either dropped off at the main office or given to one of the parent association members,” Fisichella stated.

Fisichella loves doing this for the school and the teachers.

“We like to try and go above and beyond for a week for the teachers because they work so hard to take care of all of the students at Lakewood Ranch High School. We appreciate everything they all do to make our high school the best it can be.”

The PA also encourages students to pitch in and make the week special for their teachers.
