(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS cheerleaders are hosting their annual silent auction from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 in the LRHS media center.  Themed baskets will be available, including handmade items, gift certificates for spas, golf opportunities, getaways, and much more.

All proceeds from the auction will help the team pay for the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) summer camp and uniforms for it. The money will also help fund competition season that starts in October 2019 and will help with purchases throughout the year.

Varsity cheerleader, junior Briana Pierson loves the fundraiser, “It is one of our most beneficial fundraisers of the ones we hold. The girls on both junior varsity and varsity participate in the event and throughout the years the auction has been very successful, and the girls never fail to bring it such a variety of gifts.”

Varsity cheerleader, junior Haylie Humphery is also excited for the event, “The money helps donate to our team so we can get the opportunity to travel to basketball games and football games and support our boys and our school. We are also trying to go to nationals in Orlando again this year and that costs a lot of money since we are having to stay in a hotel for a few days while there.”

Humphery added, “It’s such an incredible experience that all of us wish to do again and the donations help us achieve our goals and support our school.”

LRHS’ head cheerleading coach Kiana Broadbridge-Kowalewski, said the cheerleaders have worked very hard to get the great donations they will be auctioning off.
