Corinne Kasten – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – With the end of the year near, students are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, there a few obstacles until they reach the end.
Exams and finals are right around the corner, and students are handling it very differently.
Sophomore Peyton Frischer said, “I surprisingly feel good about my exams, except for my Spanish 4 final.”
Advanced Placement (AP) exams start May 6 and finals will start May 25.
Students use different forms of motivation to help them get through these last few weeks. Sophomore Camden Martin s ready for summer, “I will have more time to sleep and enjoy myself. The thoughts of sleeping in every day are definitely getting me through these finals.”
Other types of motivation include setting individual goals. It is also key not to compare grades with others and remember all the other achievements of the past.
Seniors, on the other hand, are very ready to finish.
“It’s tough staying focused and getting through,” explained senior Brenna Rademaker.
Even though seniors are desperate to get out, they still feel a little sad when thinking about the end of high school. “It’s just crazy to think that in a couple weeks we will now be starting real life,” said senior Josh Rossi.
“Just three more Mondays!” said Rossi.
