Rachel Lamoureaux– Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The 17th annual LRHS Faculty Awards night was held Tuesday in the LRHS auditorium. Awards, chosen by both staff and students, were given to the school’s dedicated staff.

Incoming LRHS SGA president Brooke Martin, adviser Heather Kasper and outgoing president Emily Manning helped the group honor staff and faculty.

Student Government Association (SGA) hosts the event and SGA adviser Heather Kasper said the night was a success.

“I was happy to work with these kids who put in a lot of hard work into appreciating all our hard work. I am honored and truly blessed to see these kids grow during these past two years,” said Kasper.

Senior SGA secretary Rachel Weronik, senior, said, “Closing out the year with this event was a perfect way to tie up the year. I have had such an amazing year full of experiences in this club and I’m thankful for the opportunities it has presented me.”

The following awards were handed out:

  • Most likely to represent their alma mater: Ryan Kennedy, Exceptional Student Education
  • Most likely to win jeopardy: Tom Honsa, Journalism
  • Most likely to be the real klumpy: Faust Delazzer, science
  • Most likely to always lend a helping hand: Dawn Haushalter, classroom substitute
  • Most infectious laugh: Valencia Lowen, assistant principal
  • Best person to be stuck with on an island: Richard Roller, JROTC
  • Most likely to bring their pet to school: Teri Grimes
  • Most likely to go viral: Roosevelt Atkins, teacher assistant
  • Best dressed: Melinda Lundy, assistant principal
  • Most valuable person: Jeannie Galindo, assistant principal
  • Most likely to fail you with a smile: Tammy Harper, science
  • Tidiest Classroom: Macie French, math
  • Most memorable: Ben Hall, social studies
  • Most likely to give winter break homework: Valerie Finnegan, foreign language
  • Most Spirited: Heather Kasper, Exceptional Student Education
