Justin Ramon– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Thursday, April 18, LRHS Spanish teacher Lillian Martinez will take her Spanish 4 and AP Spanish classes on a field trip to Ybor city in Tampa.
Ybor city is known for its Latin American culture and tourist attractions. It has Cuban
and Latin American eateries as well as a mall that has fast food and cinemas. The Ybor city state museum has exhibits of the cigar industry and the immigrant communities.
Martinez has led this field trip for most of her teaching career and is still excited regardless of how many times she has gone.
“I have been doing this field trip since 2000 when I taught middle school and then when I started teaching Spanish 4 here at LRHS, I continued the trip,” said Martinez.
The field trip will last the whole school day. For more information about the trip contact Martinez in room 503.
