(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS senior Alexis Schwab, a varsity softball player, is a finalist for the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) scholarship and could potentially win money for LRHS.
PCA is a scholarship opportunity awarded to high school athletes who have shown excellence in the following areas; personal mastery, leadership, and honoring the game.
The scholarship started with 3,000 applicants, and now Schwab is one of the top 25 left.
“To win this scholarship would mean a lot. It would show the journey I have gone through to become a leader in my community and that I make a difference to others,” explained Schwab. “It would show my teammates, parents, and coaches how they have all had a great impact on me and made me the player I am today.”
Tracey Christensen, a Community Impact Support Manager at PCA, said, “The voting will run six weeks, ending April 15. At which time, the qualifier earning the most votes will receive $1,000 donated in their name to their designated high school.”
Voting is open until April 15, so anyone who would like to help Schwab win for LRHS can vote here.
