Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS girls lacrosse team (5-7) is making improvements in its second season. They suffered a tough loss in their first game back after spring break, but coach Samantha Stoltz is still very happy with where the team is at.

“The growth our team is seeing is exponential,” said Stoltz. “It’s only our second year and it’s good to be competing with mature teams who have been playing together for years. We don’t drop the ball as much, and the games feel much more fast paced and reflect the real game.”

Stoltz looks to the future for the team, “We have three games left this year and we hope to finish out strong. I believe that our team is capable of competing with the other schools every night we are out on the field.”

The Lady Mustangs lost 20-6 to Sarasota Riverview Monday.  They play at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at home against St. Pete High School and they have their next home game on Tuesday, April 9 against Manatee High.
