Lambert announced last month he would take a job at Parrish Community High School, which opens in August.  He now believes the time just isn’t right.

LRHS band director Ron Lambert hopes to continue his success at LRHS.

Lambert sent out a brief letter to his students explaining why he will remain at the Ranch. After the outpouring of emotion he saw after announcing his departure, he was inspired and decided that he cannot give up on what he has built in his time at LRHS.

He continued by staying he’s not going anywhere and wants to continue his dream of making the LRHS band program the best family, environment, and band that it can be.

“We endured a lot of heart break last year losing (band students) Mathew (Power), Dashwood (Payen), two band parents.  A staff member who has been here as long as I have so it was important to me to continue to see the program though,” he said.

Lambert said his heart is at LRHS and the decision to stay was very easy.  Lambert has worked at LRHS for 15 years.
