Zian Mahfuz – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Thursday, March 21, the LRHS’s student’s government association (SGA) held a dodgeball tournament with students and faculty members after
school from 6-8 p.m.
All the proceeds from the tournament were donated to Feed Empty Little Tummies (FELT).
Participating in the event cost $5 and the admission fee to watch was $3. Some of the attendees and athletes also donated to the organization at the door.
Ten teams participated. The tournament used a single-elimination bracket system.
Megan Storms’ special needs team won the tournament.
SGA will find out after spring break how much money was raised from the event.
“It was a fun event for everyone who participated. It was a fun event for a good cause. Not only did the attendees have a good time but they gained the satisfaction of knowing they helped a great cause,” said SGA vice president senior Jules Catena.
