Madison Cartano – Mustang Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Silver Stars Dance team is holding their annual auditions for the 2019-20 team 4:30-6 p.m. April 3-5 in the school dance room.

There is a mandatory pre-audition meeting 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 21 when information packets and audition applications will be passed out.

The team requires a lot of commitment with frequent practices and several competitions. They do, however, encourage anyone who is interested to come and try out. The team performs at many events around the community.

“I am super excited to try out again! Being a part of such an amazing team is a blast. I have made so many close friends over the past three years being on the Silver Stars,” explained LRHS junior Hana Tomik.

Those considering auditioning, as well as anyone else who is interested, are encouraged to attend the annual Silver Stars showcase scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, March 22 in the LRHS auditorium. This will give them a feel for what the team is like and what types of dances they perform.

The team will perform their routines from competition as well as many new dances that they choreographed themselves specifically for this show.

This year the show will be in memory of students LRHS lost this year; senior Chase Coyner, sophomore Matthew Powers and sophomore Abby Rojas. All money raised is also going to former Mustang, Jackson Kelley’s, recovery fund.

Dancers auditioning for the team must show up in all black dance attire.
