NHS schedules busy end to school year

NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS National Honor Society (NHS) held its third meeting of the year March 5.

Officers discussed upcoming volunteer events that will be available to members until the end of the year and when volunteer service documentation will be due.

  • NHS is being honored at Marauders baseball game April 13, the cost is $10.
  • Donations of one-liter soda bottles are needed for the Spring Carnival.
  • Miracle League every Saturday from 7:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., except the week of prom.
  • Volunteer sign-ups for the Spring Carnival are available on Schoology and Remind. Students are needed to grill hamburgers and hot dogs.
  • All members need to attend the next meeting on April 2.

Officers also discussed that senior hours will be due April 17 and officer elections will be held that day as well.

“There are lots of events available for me, this will make it very easy to get my hours,” said junior Anna Shelby Dees.
