(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Over the years, the LRHS journalism and yearbook departments have expanded dramatically.

The journalism program at LRHS was started by English teacher Frank Anderson in 1998. At the time the program produced a monthly magazine.

In more recent years, LRHS journalism has transitioned to a fully functioning website, which is updated with new stories daily from around the school.

The LRHS yearbook program released its first edition in 1998 under the guidance of Melanie Forsythe. Current teacher Greg Klein took over the program in 2013. This year the 21st edition of the LRHS yearbook will be released.

Klein sees the yearbook as more than just an annual publication.

“The Yearbook is the official documented ‘history’ of the school year… When you want to reflect back on your High School days, your yearbook is the first place you turn,” stated Klein.
