Jenelle Bayor– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustangs stopping by the school’s Guidance office will see a welcoming new face. LRHS has hired a new clerical assistant, Maria Alesi. She started at this position earlier this month.
Before coming to LRHS she was working at the district’s Harllee center, a facility for pregnant high school girls. She liked that position but decided it was time for a change.
“I switched to this position because I wanted to go into a more office-focused position, and with my credentials I qualified for this position,” said Alesi.
The tasks of her job include dealing with transcripts, community service papers, directing students to places they need to go, and many other things. Although she has been here for a while now, she is still learning.
So far, Alesi likes her job.
“All of the students are very nice and well mannered. My coworkers are also very helpful and nice,” she stated.
Alesi said she could easily see herself staying at LRHS for a long time.
“I would like to see myself retiring here,” she said.
