Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS boys basketball senior night was held on February 7, in the Lakewood Ranch High School gym against Bayshore.

Mustang basketball coach Jeremy Schiller said, “Senior night was a great way to celebrate the Class of 2019, with all of the family and friends coming together.”

Senior Dylan Wellard, a varsity team member said, “Seeing all my friends and family support me at the game was very heartwarming, they’ve been there for me since the beginning of my basketball days.”

The Mustangs (17-6/10-0) finished the night by beating Bayshore 50-41.

On Feb. 9, the boys have another game at home against Riverview.

Schiller said that he still thinks the team has more room for improvement. He looks forward to the game, when the team won’t be “distracted by the excitement of senior night.”

Schiller added, “Overall, senior night was very fun, and it was great to see all the family and friends come together. We want to thank everyone that attended and brought energy to the game.”
