Mustangs welcome new Principal’s executive assistant

Madison Aker – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Yesika Salcido is the newest addition to the LRHS family. She will be replacing Robin Castle as the senior secretary, following new principal Dustin Dahlquist to the Ranch.

Mustangs Ahead (MA): Where are you from?

Yesika Salcido (YS): I am transferring here from Buffalo Creek Middle School.

MA: How did you choose this position and why did you apply?

YS:  The opportunity to come to the best high school in Manatee County was a no brainer. I have always heard great things about this place. Plus, the high school hours helped in my decision.

MA: How long have you worked for the school board?

YS: I am in my 24th year.  I was at Lincoln Middle School for 12 years and Buffalo Creek Middle School for 12 years.

MA: What are your goals for LRHS?

YS: My goal is to support the students and staff in any way that I can.  I’m not afraid to work.

MA: What do you do as a senior secretary?

YS:  I am the Executive Assistant to (new LRHS) Principal (Dustin) Dahlquist.

MA: What experience did you bring to the job?

YS: I brought my 24 years of experience within the district.

MA: How have people been treating you and how have you adjusted?

YS:  The staff I have met so far at LRHS are very friendly and I look forward to being part of the Mustang family.
