(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS Indoor Percussionists placed first in their Class AA show premiere in Winter Springs Saturday.

Due to their placement, the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit (FFCC) promoted the group to the A Class division for the remainder of the 2019 season. This means a more difficult division and challenging competition.

Senior Ted Robinson was very proud of his performance and hopes this winning streak will continue throughout the season.

“This win really boosts our confidence and I hope we can keep winning each competition because this is my last season,” Robinson said.

LRHS band director Ron Lambert is happy the school’s first indoor percussion placed first and is hoping to keep it consistent through the coming years.

“Each year we can continue to work hard and give a good impression at each premiere show,” Lambert said.

Both indoor percussionists and winter guard will perform this Saturday at the Braden River High School Regional competition. Winter guard performs at 1:22 p.m. with indoor following at 7:23 p.m.
