This award gets awarded twice a year, in the winter and in the spring. Winners receive recognition, an award, and $100 check.  Salgado was selected by his teacher for making sure he always completed his work in an exemplary manner, especially when he was not in school.

Salgado shared, “Honestly I feel honored about receiving this award and was caught by surprise. I really couldn’t have done it without the help from others encouraging me to do my work. Being able to succeed is pretty simple, all you have to do is put your mind to it and do the work.”
