NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Last night, LRHS hosted an open house to welcome incoming and potential Mustangs to the school. From 6-7:30 p.m. the class of 2023 was able to explore the campus while seeing different clubs and programs LRHS has to offer.

Teachers and students at this “School of Excellence” advocated their different classes. It gave future students a chance to figure out which clubs, sports, electives, and other extracurricular activities they can look forward to, while also displaying their options for core classes.

As parents and new students walked around the campus, they collected stamps from each booth to complete their passports. When passports were completed, the students were entered into a raffle to win LRHS gear.

Some of the clubs there to answer questions were National Honors Society, Key Club, and Marine Conservation club.  The administration team was also there to welcome prospective students.

LRHS assistant principal Michael Staker stated, “I think it was fantastic. There was a great turnout and it was good to see excited students and faculty ready to brag about their programs and clubs.”

Students and faculty are excited to welcome the incoming LRHS freshman class this fall.
