The LRHS Mustangs hope to continue their winning streak against Braden River.

The same thing applies for LRHS Mustangs.  This Friday, Jan. 11, the LRHS boys’ varsity basketball team take on their rival Braden River High School Pirates.

The Mustangs have not lost to Braden River in basketball since Dec. 2014.

LRHS head varsity basketball coach Jeremy Schiller commented on the rivalry saying, “You always get excited to play against someone so close to home. It’s hard to call it a rivalry though since we haven’t lost to them since December 2014.”

Schiller also said it’s fun to have the energy from the fans.

LRHS junior Keon Buckley agreed with Schiller, “The fans are a huge help during the games. They provide so much energy to the team which helps us make shots and ultimately win the game.”

The game is scheduled for Braden River High School at 7:30 p.m.

This will be the first time the two teams meet this season.

LRHS has a three-and-a-half-year winning streak against district opponents and Schiller looks forward to keeping that streak alive Friday.
