cropped-lrhs-logo-2000-x-2000(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- As 2018 comes to an end many students are deciding what their New Year’s resolutions will be for 2019.  Resolutions are a great way to start the new year ambitiously, they create goals to better themselves and their lifestyles.

Understandably, since resolutions are so personal, many Mustangs asked to be identified by only their first names.

Mikaela said her resolution is to “spend less money on eating out.” This is common for many seniors as they begin to prepare their savings for college. This is also a good way to eat healthier.

Many people want to better themselves, including Vanessa who hopes to “be the best version of myself.”

Hayden is also planning to focus on self-improvement, she said she wants to “think more positively and grow as a person.”

Olivia said, “My new year’s resolution is to pay attention to signs more and to stop trying for things that aren’t meant to be. As well as cut out people who aren’t doing any good for me.”

Some seniors that are in their last stretch of high school have goals such as “get accepted into college,” which is Lauren’s goal. Dylan also wants to “win a football game.”

Athletes around the Ranch also plan on improving themselves at the gym and on the field.

Noah said, “I want to improve my results at the gym,” while soccer player, Faith said, “I want to become a better athlete and avoid injuries that way I can come back stronger than I was before.”
