LRHS senior Rheana White excels in the studio, classroom and field.

As an artist, White does not have any specific inspirations.  She stated, “I take ordinary objects and turn them into pieces of art.” She first became interested in art with the help of one of her teachers, who, after seeing the drawings on her homework, suggested she take part in an art class.

White took her teacher’s advice and went from drawing on the corner of her homework to painting large portraits of friends and family.

White also began playing soccer at the age of four and has had a passion for it ever since. She first started after she saw her friends play and they encouraged her to join. Rheana said, “Although balancing sports and academics can be challenging, I enjoy the challenge.”

White is currently captain of the LRHS girls’ varsity soccer team and plays as a center defense. Outside of school she also volunteers as a coach for Braden River Soccer Club’s U-13 girls’ team with the head coach, Paul.

With her hard-working and motivated attitude, White has had a successful high school career so far.
