(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- It’s the holiday season again, and for many people it’s their favorite time of the year.  After all, it’s called “The most wonderful time of the year” for a reason.

This holiday season there are so many things to do, from holiday shopping to lighting the tree or the menorah.

Even though Florida does eliminate the possibilities of a white Christmas, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.  Who wouldn’t enjoy Christmas on the beach?

Mustangs are encouraged to show off holiday spirit this year by wearing an ugly sweater on Dec. 18 and by spreading holiday cheer.

There are also many activities to do this season, one being a movie marathon. You can watch all of the Christmas classics such as; “Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer,” “Elf,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “A Christmas Carol,” “Mean Girls,” “The Polar Express,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Home Alone,” “A Christmas Story,” “Jack Frost” and, “Frosty the Snowman.”

Another good way to get into the holiday spirit is to jam out to Christmas music. There are new albums each year, but some old songs cannot be beat. “Jingle Bells,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Under the Mistletoe,” “White Christmas,” “Blue Christmas,” “Joy to the World,” “Last Christmas,” “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Santa Tell Me,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and “Let it Snow,” are some to name a few.

What else is associated with the holidays? Sweaters! Around that time, there is always holiday sweaters everywhere. Sweaters are a necessity for this season, to keep you warm and show your spirit. One holiday tradition is wearing an ugly sweater. The uglier the better.
