Academics(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)-  LRHS freshmen this year have already experienced the first day, their first quarter and most of their second quarter for high school. Now they have to take on their first semester exams.

These exams bring out a different side in students, who may be stressed, anxious, and just excited to get them over with. Freshman are going through the semester exam week for the first time, which can make it ten times more nerve-racking.

Brooke James said, “Overall this week is stressing me out. The whole week will be hard, and I feel like I will be cramming until the very last minute possible. I will be ready, but I will still be nervous”

While some students are stressing, others have a different outlook on this week. Students that have been studying and working hard throughout the semester feel confident with their exams.

Asia Ogden said, “I’ve already started studying so I’m feeling pretty good about the exam week. I will be nervous, but I will trust how much I’ve studied. I don’t expect a 100 but I feel like I will do fairly well.”

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors have gone through this week before and they know what to expect from the week. Since they know what to prepare for, some of the stress from not knowing is taken away.

Sophomore Patrick Herbst said, “The best advice I can give is to study hard and just trust your hard work throughout the semester.”
