NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Holidays Around the Ranch, scheduled for 6-9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, on Lakewood Ranch Main Street, is making changes due to rain storms.

LRHS’s art program cancelled their art showcase, while other clubs and organizations are waiting to see the outcome of the night’s weather.

Students for Safety has also cancelled their evening. LRHS chorus plans to still sing if the tree lighting is still taking place.

Students for Safety treasurer sophomore Nolan Carpenter is upset they had to cancel due to weather. “I’m disappointed it was cancelled as this was supposed to be our first major Public Relations event, and we can’t attend.”

Main Street organizers are keeping watch for dangerous weather. They have made room available for some vendors to be under covered areas.

Other clubs and organizations scheduled to attend are still waiting to see the outcome of the weather. Lakewood Ranch Main Street has yet to make a final decision, however are updating their website and Facebook with details.
