Special to Mustangs Ahead

NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Community members interested in meeting and hearing from the three finalists to become the next principal at Lakewood Ranch High School can do so at a special Community Principal’s Forum 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at the school. During the forum, each of the three finalists will spend time talking about themselves and taking questions from community members and the staff and faculty at Lakewood Ranch High, located at 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.

The three finalists are, in alphabetical order:

  • Dustin Dahlquist, Principal at Buffalo Creek Middle School from 2016 to present. Prior to that position, Mr. Dahlquist served as the Assistant Principal at Palmetto High School from 2007 to 2016, and as the Athletics and Activities Director at Palmetto High from 2005 to 2007.
  • William W. Harris, Principal at Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that position, Mr. Harris served as the Principal of Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Keene, New Hampshire from 2007 to 2012.
  • Michael P. Mullen, Assistant Principal at Bayshore High School from 2017 to present. Prior to that position, Mr. Mullen was an Assistant Principal at Lakewood Ranch High School from 2012 to 2017. He also previously served as the Athletic/Activities Director at Fort Meade High School in Polk County.

School District officials will take into consideration feedback from those who attend Wednesday’s forum before making a final decision on who will be named the next Principal.
