Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS boys varsity golf team ended their season at the final state competition in Howey in the Hills, FL.

Senior Drew Angelo tied for 14th out of 100 players with a two-day score of 74-76. A total of 15 teams competed.  Angelo will not be moving on.

“I was very happy with the team’s performance this season. We grew as a team and pushed each other to reach our goals,” said varsity boys coach John Victor.  “Next year I will emphasize thinking through the course, instead of just going up and hitting it.”

Victor also stated that “with Drew graduating next year, it will have a big impact on the team. We have some talented underclassman that have great potential.”
